Nijaifi, Iranian Ambassador to Iraq discuss bilateral relations[05/12/2013]

Baghdad ( The Iraqi parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi discussed with the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Hassan Danaye Far, the Iraqi-Iranian bilateral relations, the floods crisis in the Iraqi southern provinces as well as the Syrian crisis.

A statement by the Media Office of the parliament, reported on Sunday that “The meeting that was held at Nijaifi’s office In Baghdad, tackled the current events and the political scene in Iraq and the region,” noting “the two sides discussed the negative effects of the Syrian crisis and the unrest it caused across the region.”

“The meeting also discussed the harsh environmental conditions witnessed by Iraq’s central and southern areas due to the floods coming from the Iranian territories. They discussed the recent elections of Iraq as well ,” according to the statement.

“both sides reviewed the bilateral relations between both countries and means of enhancing them for service of the two friendly peoples,” the statement concluded.
