Nijaifi obliges MPs to attend Tuesday parliament session

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, obliged MPs to attend the parliament session of next Tuesday.

Parliamentary source stated to IraqiNews.com “Nijaifi ordered MPs to attend Tuesday session to ensure the quorum to vote on important law drafts like the Federal Court Law and the Supreme Judiciary Council Law.”

Earlier, the parliament 37^th session that was headed by the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, on Monday witnessed the vote on the Communications and Informatics Law draft.

A statement by the parliament received by IraqiNews.com cited “The session that was attended by 199 MPs involved discussing the budget law of 2013.”

“The parliament also conducted the first and second readings for nine laws and then lifted the session till next Tuesday,” the statement concluded.
