Nijaifi receives request to interrogate Maliki

Baghdad ( The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, received a request from a number of MPs, demanding to interrogate the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki over issues related to bad performance and his transgression on Anbar and Mosul demonstrators.

A statement by Nijaifi’s media office cited that “The request conforms with the legal conditions according to article No 61 of the Iraqi Constitution,” pointing out that “The Discussion of the request will be done after, at least, seven days of its submission.”

Earlier, the Iraqiya Slate has submitted a request signed by (50) MPs to interrogate Maliki.
