Nijaifi, Woon discuss parliamentary elections file

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Usama al-Nijaifi received in his office in Baghdad on Monday the new South Korean Ambassador to Iraq Jo Jong Woon and discussed the file of the Iraqi Parliamentary elections.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Both sides discussed the file of the Iraqi Parliamentary Elections and its transparency as well as the security and political situation post the elections.”

“Nijaifi and Woon discussed the bilateral relations between Iraq and S. Korea,” the statement added.

“For his part, the S. Korean Ambassador to Iraq assured that his country seeks broadening the bilateral relations in order to rebuild Iraq,” according to the statement.
