Nineveh Governor accuses security forces of assassinating son of Nijaifi’s gaurds Commander

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Nineveh province, Athil al-Nijaifi, accused a security force of assassinating the son of the guards Commander of the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The forces of the Golden Division deployed in Mosul deliberately killed the son of Colonel, Khalid al-Nijaifi.”

“The forces chased vehicle of the victim and shot him,” he concluded.

Earlier, a relative of the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, was killed due to an armed attack in Juasiq area of central Mosul. Nineveh Provincial Council reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting the son of the Colonel Khalid al-Nijaifi who was seriously injured and died when he arrived the hospital.” The statement added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack.” \
