Pact preserves neighbors’ interests – PM

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki on Thursday stressed that the Iraqi-U.S. security pact will not allow using Iraq as a passage to conduct operations against any of its neighbors, explaining that U.S. forces’ timetable withdrawal embraced by the pact “cannot be interpreted.” “Some sides are making statements describing the pact as insult and humiliation, and I excuse them, because they received this argument from others,” al-Maliki said in a press conference in Baghdad. “The pact preserves Iraq’s funds and oil revenues,” he added.
