Parliament to summon ministerial commission headed by Shahristani, says Asadi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Hussein al-Asadi of the Iraqi National Alliance stressed that the parliament will summon the members of the ministerial commission tasked to consider the demonstrators’ demands.

On other hand, MP Alyia Nusaiyf described the call to investigate the ministerial commission at the parliament as an attempt to cover up the parliament’s failure in ratifying the laws that are demanded by the demonstrators.

Asadi said that “The Parliament will summon the ministerial commission headed by the Deputy Premier, Hussein al-Shahristani on background of the resolutions taken earlier by the commission.”

For her part, Nusaiyf described “The resolution to investigate the ministerial commission’s members as an attempt to hurt them and hide the parliament’s failure in passing the laws the demonstrators called for.”

She added that “The ministerial commission tasked to follow up the demonstrators’ demands achieved many praiseworthy steps towards meeting the masses’ demands.”
