Parliament’s Monday session to discuss Law on Political Parties – government’s program

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Parliament has opened its 16 th session on Monday, to listen to the first reading of the draft-law on the Political Parties in Iraq and the discussion of the government’s program, according to a Parliament’s media source.   “The Parliament’s 16 th session has began before noon local time today (Monday), under chairmanship of its Speaker, Usama al-Nujeify, and attendance of 210 out of the Parliament’s 325 members, to discuss the 1 st reading of the Political Parties Law and the government’s program,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said the session would also discuss “the project on the Agreement of Cooperation between Iraq and the International Immigrants Organization, the report of the Investigation Committee about the state of communications services in Iraq and a report on the state of electric power in Iraq .”   “Other issues, under discussion by the Parliament’s session, are the first reading of the draft-law on promulgation of the Memo of Understanding (MOU), between Iraq and the European Union on the Strategic Partnership in the Field of Energy and the 2 nd Reading for the draft-law on the Ministry of Industry & Minerals,” he said.   In conclusion, the same source said that “the session would also listen to the 2 nd reading of the draft-law on the UN Agreement for Rights of Disabled Persons.”   SKH (IT)
