Party head, Swedish envoy take on cooperation

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The head of the National Reform Movement, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, on Tuesday met with the Swedish ambassador to Iraq to discuss political and economic cooperation. “The two officials discussed bilateral relations and means of boosting mutual cooperation in different fields…,” according to a statement released by Jaafari’s office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Jaafari has highlighted the importance of the presence of Swedish companies in Iraqi markets. “Economic cooperation will help boost political ties between the two countries despite the geographical distance that separates them,” the statement noted. The Swedish official, Nicholas Trouvé, said that his country is planning to open a trade center in Iraq, where many Swedish companies will be present. SS (P) 1
