President Barzani meets Allawi before political blocs meeting

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: President of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, met on Wednesday with Head of al-Iraqiyah List, Iyad Allawi, before the meeting of political blocs’ leaders, a well-informed source said. “The two officials discussed the formation of the new government to end the current deadlock in the country,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told IraqiNews.com news agency. The political blocs’ leaders held two meetings in the past two days; the first in Arbil, and the second was held on Baghdad within the framework of President Barzani’s initiative to end the current crisis.
