PUK, Change bloc discuss mutual relations

Baghdad ( The Joint Political Committee between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Gorran (the Change) Movement held a meeting in the office of the Parliament of Kurdistan in the City of Sulaimaniya on Wednesday.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) received by on Wednesday cited “The meeting attendants discussed the current situation in Kurdistan Region and Iraq.”

“The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations on various levels and fields and expand these relations with other Kurdish parties,” the statement added.

“With regard to the disputed areas, the meeting stressed the importance to commit to the Iraqi constitution and the implementation of Article 140, where both sides described the Kurds participation in one list in the upcoming provincial elections in these areas as an important step,” the statement concluded.
