Regional conditions force us to end political disputes, says Mashhadani

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The former Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mahmoud al-Mashhadani pointed out that, “The current situations in the neighboring countries demand us to end the political differences and reach a common consensus which maintains national unity.”

Mashhadani called in a statement to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Wednesday, upon the political blocs to “end their differences by sitting at the table of dialogue and initiate political reforms.”

He added that “The political forces should be aware of the seriousness of the current circumstances in the country, especially after the changes that have occurred or those expected to occur.”

He also noted that “The current circumstances in Iraq are very suitable to end political differences through conducting political reforms which are acceptable for all political rivals.

The Arab region, particularly in Syria, witnesses a wave of unrest due to clashes between the Syrian regime’s supporters and Syrian opposition supported by armed groups.
