Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin, said, in a statement, that “Russia will offer at the UN Security Council, in the near future, a draft resolution on the illegal purchase of oil from the militants in Syria and Iraq.”

He added that “armed criminal organizations are selling oil illegally from the territory of the Syrian and Iraqi. This means that from buying this oil, “terrorism will be financed“. There is an international resolution on this matter, and we will give the Security Council, in the near future, a draft resolution; we will raise the issue in principle.”
