Sadrist MP accuses Dawa Party of coming closer to Baath Party

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Hussein al-Mansouri of the Ahrar bloc associated to the Sadr Trend accused some leaders of Islamic Dawa Party of coming closer to the Baathists and re-granting them positions in the government.

Mansouri told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “We do not rule out previous meetings held between the Baath Party and Dawa Party as the latter Party is no longer as it was in the past because most of its leaders have died or neglected.”

“The Premier Nouri al-Maliki rewarded the Baathists offices within the government since he assumed his post after they announced their loyalty for him,” he confirmed.
