Sadrist MP accuses political sides to delaying endorsing General Budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussein al-Mansouri, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend accused some political sides of attempting to delay endorsing the General Budget of 2013 in order to target the parliament.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said ” The General Budget became a political issue where some sides attempt to delay endorsing it in order to affect the parliament and its role and make the masses blame the parliament.”

“The disputes over the Budget are limited to the suggestions of the political blocs where the heads of political blocs have to conduct a meeting to settle them,” he added.

“The MPs wish to endorse the Budget to grant the rights of the people,” he pointed out, assuring that “If the census is hold, all the sides will take their rights with flexibility.”

Earlier, Member of the parliament Finance Committee, MP Majida al-Timimi, announced that “The political blocs agreed during meeting on Tuesday to settle the controversial points between the Kurdistani Alliance and the Iraqiya Slate over the 2013 Federal Budget where all their demands were answered.”

Timimi added in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The Federal Budget now is prepared for vote during the parliament’s regular session of next Thursday.”
