Shawis, Italian official discuss bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Prime Minister, Ruz Nouri Shawis discussed in Rome with the Italian Senate Speaker, Pietro Krasso, the Iraqi Italian bilateral relations and means to enhance them.

A statement by Shawis’s office reported “The two sides praised the strong bilateral relations between both countries and promised to develop the cooperation between the Italian Senate and the Iraqi parliament through exchanging the expertise in the legislative, legal and supervisory fields.”

“They also agreed on the need to exchange the visits and meetings between the Iraqi and Italian legislative authorities as well as talking about nominating Italy as non-Permanent Member at the UN Security Council,” the statement added.
