Shia paramilitary Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq denies support for government candidates

Baghdad (IraqiNews) Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq bloc on Sunday stated that they do not support someone in particular for a ministerial position and called Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi not to acquiesce to foreign pressure.

The bloc’s Spokesman urged the Iraqi Prime Minister al-Abadi in a statement obtained by IraqiNews choosing the candidates for the security positions based on competence and integrity.

It is worth knowing that the Iraqi Parliament ratified Abadi’s government cabinet except for some ministers of which Abadi pledged to present candidates for them within a week. Meanwhile the international community welcomed the political agreement on the government formation.
