Sihail, Armenian Deputy PM discuss mutual relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The first Deputy Speaker, Qusay al-Sihail, discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Armen Gevorgyan the accompanying delegation, the bilateral relations between the two countries.

A statement by Sihail’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday cited “Sihail received the Gevorgyan at his office in Baghdad where the two sides assured on the joint cultural bonds between the two countries and the wish of the Iraqi parliament to develop the mutual relations and support the signed pacts between the two sides.”

“Sihail stressed the necessity of moving to the practical steps in the mutual relations, assuring that it is the time to start these steps,” the statement added.

“Sihail invited the Armenian parliament Speaker to visit Iraq where the parliament will form a Friendship Committee between the two sides,” the statement pointed out.

“For his part, the Gevorgyan assured the readiness of his country to develop the mutual relations,” the statement concluded.
