SLC MP calls to demonstrate to demand implementation of Provinces law No.21

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mansour al-Timimi of the State of law Coalition called to conduct peaceful demonstration to demand implementation of the Provinces Law after the law infuriated some officials and MPs.

Timimi said “All the Governors, provincial Councils’ Chairmen, civil society organizations and citizens in all provinces have to defend the Law No. 21 for 2008 and stick to its amendment.”

The Deputy Head of the parliament Regions & Provinces Committee said “The ratification of the amendment on the Provinces Law No.21 for 2008 is considered to be a victory for the Iraqis and compensation for all the provinces which suffered injustice in light of dictatorship years, so the law would help invest the provinces’ capacities in resolving all the problems of unemployment, bad services and the low standard of living and extend the administrative powers of the provinces.”
