SLC MP describes objection of Kurdistan Region over forming Dijla OC as "Internal war"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Fatima al-Zirqani, of the State of Law Coalition described the objection of Kurdistan Region over the formation of Dijla Operations Command as “Internal war.”

She stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “Forming Dijla OC is a normal issue because the General Command for the Armed Forces considered it as a necessity to form such OC in those areas.”

“Dijla OC does not target any constituent, but it protects them,” she added.

“According to the constitution, the operations commands are free to enter any area because they are federal forces and the objection over Dijla OC is to keep the sensitive areas under the control of a certain side to affect the future negotiations,” she concluded.

Earlier, the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, warned the Peshmerga forces from changing their locations or be close to the armed forces.
