Talabani, US delegation discuss future relations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: President Jalal Talabani discussed with a US high ranking delegation the relations between the two countries. In a presidential statement, the meeting was attended by US advisor for foreign relations affairs Denis R. McDonough. During the meeting, means of developing bilateral relations, which were stressed by President Talabani who pointed out the strategic agreement that will enhance the bilateral contacts. Advisor McDonough thanked Talabani for his efforts to release the two Americans imprisoned in Iran. He confirmed the U.S.desire to develop relations with Iraq, particularly the implementation of the strategic agreement that will grant new opportunities to deepen these relations.
