Urgent – 83% of Maysan security elements participate in Saturday elections

Maysan, Amara (IraqiNews.com) The office of the Independent High Electoral Commission IHEC in Maysan province announced that “The rate of security elements who participated in the private ballot reached (83 %).”The Director of the Electoral Office in Maysan province, Jafar Kadhim, stated to IraqiNews.com ”The expected rate of the participation of the security elements in Maysan province was (75%), but after closing the elections boxes, the participation rate reached (83%) of the security elements who participated in the private ballot on Maysan province.”The private ballot of security elements for the elections of the provincial councils took place on Saturday in all provinces, except Nineveh and Anbar, and the number of the security elements allowed to participate in the private ballot reaches (650,000) persons after deducting the security elements of Nineveh and Anbar.
