Urgent – Talabani, Nijaifi agree to hold meeting for 3 presidencies

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi President Jalal Talabani agreed with the Speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, to hold a meeting for the three Presidencies as soon as Talabani returns to Iraq.

The Iraqiya Slate’s MP Nabil Harbo stated to Iraqi News Tuesday “Nijaifi and the President Talabani discussed the latest political developments through a phone call on last Monday and both agreed to hold a meeting for the three presidencies as soon as the President Talabani returns from his medical trip to Baghdad in order to speed up endorsement of many important laws.”

“Both Talabani and Nijaifi emphasized necessity to speed up holding the National Meeting to settle the current political crisis and pending issues through constitution and agreements among blocs,” he added.

“They also discussed the most recent updates in the region,” MP Harbo concluded.
