US Embassy in Baghdad denies setting conditions on providing F-16 for Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The US Embassy in Baghdad denied the report which talked about imposing conditions by the US on usage of Iraq for the F-16 jet fighters.

A statement by the US Embassy in Iraq cited “The US did not impose any conditions on Iraq for using the F-16 planes,” noting that “Only Iraq can decide how to use these planes in addition to items of flying and maintenance.”

“The F-16 program will develop the capacities of the Iraqi Air Force to protect Iraqi borders and sovereignty,” the statement concluded.
