Yawer expects resuming negotiations between Kurdistan RegionG, CG over security file in disputed area

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Peshmerga Ministry within Kurdistani Regional Government expected a delegation from the Ministry to visit Baghdad next week to resume the negotiations over the security file in the disputed areas.

A statement by the Ministry quoted the Secretary General of the Ministry, Brigadier, Jabbar Yawer, as saying “The meetings of the Peshmerga within Kurdistan RegionG and the Ministry of Defense within the Central Government are went on years ago so the two sides may hold a meeting next week.”

“This meeting comes in response to the request of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, within the course of the meetings held by the military committees of the two sides,” he concluded.

A number of meetings were held between the two sides during the last weeks.
