Zubayi criticizes Governmental policy over restoring Iraqi antiquities abroad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliamentary Tourism and Antiquities Committee criticized the Governmental policy over restoring the Iraqi antiquities abroad.

MP, Talal al-Zubayi, head of the Committee stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Government and the Tourism Ministry adopt the worse strategy over defending the Iraqi antiquities abroad.”

“The Ministry does not urge the Government to take strong stances at Council of Ministers’ level to restore the Iraqi antiquities,” he added.

“The Iraqi Government has weak efforts in this respect and it is illogical to use get back the antiquities through the legal side without exploiting the political side and the need to invest in Iraq,” he stressed.

“The Iraqi Government did not take any sovereign decision over the Iraqi antiquities because the Government is sectarian and dependent on partnership,” he concluded.
