(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Wednesday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi inaugurated Najibiyah station with a capacity of 500 megawatt north of Basra, while praised the station that will contribute to the supply of energy.

The Council of Ministers said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi inaugurated Najibiyah electricity station with a capacity of 500 megawatts north of Basra,” indicating that, “This achievement is important for the people of Basra.”

Abadi said according to the statement, “Electric power is an important element to boost the economy and it must be preserved,” adding that, “The necessary fuel and oil derivatives should be provided.”
