(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Sunday, Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi announced, that he will discuss three key issues including oil, investment and armament during his visit to China, while pointed out that the financial officials will join the delegation to facilitate trade contacts.

Abadi said, “During our upcoming visit to China we will discuss three main issues including oil, investment and armament,” adding that, “The visit is aiming at strengthening ties between Beijing and Baghdad, which is fighting a war against terrorism.”

The Prime Minister added, “Iraq is looking forward to increase its oil production and exports and I think China can contribute to that,” pointing out that, “There are key Chinese companies working in the oil field, constructions and other services, and exercise a real effort in order to build Iraq’s infrastructure.”

Abadi continued, “I will also discuss both infrastructure and investment fields,” adding that, “Iraq is looking for investment, while China has a great ability to invest money in other countries including Iraq, especially with the presence of oil as a guarantor for any investment in the country.”

“Iraq has a huge oil reserve. According to expert estimates, the last oil barrel in the world will be in Iraq,” said Abadi.

Abadi indicated, “The third subject to be addressed during the visit is the military area since Iraq is going through war, in addition we are looking forward for further military cooperation with China,” pointing out that, “Officials from the financial sector will be among the delegation to facilitate expected long term commercial exchange and contracting between both sides.”

He also pointed out, “Iraq is looking forward to develop and strengthen the relations with China in all fields especially investment and rebuilding infrastructure,” adding that, “Our visit to China is aiming at strengthening these relations.”

Noteworthy, Prime Minister’s Information Office previously announced, that the Prime Minister is willing to visit China this week to sign cooperation agreements between Beijing and Baghdad, while emphasized that Iraq is looking forward to expand economic cooperation, projects financing and the number of Chinese companies investing in the country.
