Amendment to Investment Law will attract investors- lawmaker

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The first amendment to the draft law on investment no. 13 of the year 2006 will encourage foreign companies to enter Iraq and attract foreign capital to the country, a member of the parliamentary economic committee said on Monday. A second reading of the amendment, which will be passed by the Parliament, will take place during today’s session, MP Mohammed Khalil from the Kurdistan Alliance (KA) told Iraqi News. “The law has had many bureaucratic obstacles, which we need to overcome,” Khalil explained.
