CBI dollar sales down to $103m

BAGHDAD / Aswat al -Iraq: The Central Bank of Iraq s (CBI) dollar sales dropped in its daily auction on Thursday to reach $103.845 million compared to $134.350 million during the previous session. “The demand hit $3 million in cash, covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,183 Iraqi dinars, and $100.845 million in foreign transfers outside the country, cove red at an exchange rate of 1,173 Iraqi dinars per dollar,” according to a CBI news bulletin received by Aswat al- Iraq news agency. None of the 13 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday. AmR (P)/SR 1
