 Foreign currency sales hit $156 million in CBI

((IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Iraqi Central Bank sales of foreign currency rose, while the auction was closed at $156.36 million, compared with $149.38 million on Tuesday.

The Central Bank said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The auction price for selling dinar per US dollar is 1182, while 24 banks and 19 remittance companies were participated in the auction.”

“The amount of remittances and credits were amounted to 146.71 million dollars, while the cash sold was amounted to 9.65 million dollars,” the statement added.

The statement continued, “The Central Bank will continue to buy and sell the US dollar,” pointing out that, “The selling price of remittances is 1187 dinars per dollar, including the commission of the Central Bank of 21 dinars per dollar, while the cash sales price is 1190 dinars per dollar, including the commission of the Central Bank of 24 dinars per dollar.
