Pending oil issues with Kurdistan to be resolved soon – Oil Ministry

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: All pending oil problems with the Kurdistan region will be resolved soon, the official spokesman for the Iraqi Oil Ministry said on Thursday. “There are intensified efforts to end the pending files between the Federal Oil Ministry and the Kurdistan region regarding exporting oil mechanism, oilfields and the region’s oil share,” Essam Jehad said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The ministerial committee is studying the legal mechanisms which will allow the region to export oil to Turkey,” he added. “Exporting oil from the Kurdistan’s oilfields to Turkey has a very important economic benefit to Iraq,” he underlined.
