3.5 million visitors in Karbala during Ashura week says Operations Command

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, Karbala Operations Command announced that the number of the visitors during the week of Ashura has reached three and a half million.

In a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, Karbala Operations declared, “Today, we recorded a number of three and a half million visitors in Karbala during the week of Ashura and Al-Husseiniya memorial.”

“Our plan for securing the province of Karbala has succeeded. The governorate has welcomed a number of Arab and Foreign citizens who came to visit Karbala during the Ashura holiday.”

The Iranian news agency, FARS, reported that 23 thousands Shia from Iran have traveled to Karbala to attend the memorial of Husseiniya and the week of Ashura.
