(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Saturday, the commander of the armed forces, Haider al-Abadi, ratified on the resolutions of the Investigative Council on the withdrawal of Anbar Operations Command from the city of Ramadi, noting to the assignment of a number of military leaders to justice because of leaving their positions without a warrant.

A statement issued by the Information Office of Abadi, received by IraqiNews.com, said: “The Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi ratified on the decisions of the Investigative Council on the withdrawal of Anbar Operations Command from the city of Ramadi for leaving their positions without orders last May.”

The statement added that “The Investigative Council listened to the testimonies of more than a hundred officers and commanders,” noting that, “the report presented a summary of what happened in the city of Ramadi and the surrounding areas for the period from 14 to 17 May 2015”.
