(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, deputy president Nouri al-Maliki announced that the Volunteer Fighters (al-Hashd al-Sha’bi) has become the third military force after the army and the police, calling for the provision of the necessary allocations, while warned of the schemes against Iraq, Syria, Yemen and other Arab countries.

Maliki said during festivities held by the Iraqi Islamic movement ‘Brigades of Imam Soldiers,’ “Thanks to al-Hashd al-Sha’bi and the security forces, we have succeeded to rebel the vicious attack launched by the forces of terror and blasphemy,” adding that, “These victories invite us to repeat the claim of supporting al-Hashd al-Sha’bi and to provide all the supplies that make them ready for the implementation of the tasks assigned to them.”

Maliki also pointed out that, “Al-Hashd al-Sha’bi became the third military force after the army and the police, and we have to provide the necessary allocations.”
