(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Municipality of Baghdad announced on Wednesday that it has adopted a new pricing for parking lots up to five thousand dinars, pointing out that violators of the new pricing will be referred to the court of law and their contracts will be canceled if the offense was repeated.

Media Director of the Municipality, Hakim Abdul-Zahra said in an interview for IraqiNews.com “The Municipality has taken new measures to contract with the owners of parking lots,” adding that, “The controls require the squares to be within the regular sites and have entrances and exits, in addition to the presence of signs that refer the fees to be paid, as well as the owners’ phone numbers.

Abdul Zahra added, “The secretariat adopted the new pricing due to high prices and lack of commitment to the previous pricing, amounting to 1,000 dinars,” noting that, “The pricing is determined according to the number of hours; one thousand dinars per hour of parking and up to five thousands dinars for 5 hours of parking.”
