(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi revealed, that the intelligence agencies told him that a change in his moves had prevented an assassination attempt.

Abadi said in an interview for the British newspaper ‘London Life’ issued today, followed by IraqiNews.com, “The intelligence agencies informed me about an assassination attempt that was foiled thanks to a change of my moves,” adding that, “Part of my duty is to introduce myself as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.”

“I’m unafraid, yet I am not reckless, I tend to move around in the areas of Baghdad. In 2005 I was the coordinator of Tal Afar, and many people warned me to go there, but I went anyway,” stressing that, “Whoever addresses the public has to bear the consequences.”
