We didn’t drop aid for ISIS, we spent more than a billion dollars to fight it, says U.S. ambassador in Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, US ambassador in Baghdad, Stuart Jones denied that the U.S. had thrown aid for ISIS in some areas controlled by the organization, while he expressed his will to open an investigation on the wrong air strikes targeted the associate members when there is evidence to confirm it. He also pointed to the more than a billion dollars spent by Washington in the war on ISIS.

Jones said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The allegations concerning the military or non-military aid dropped by the United States for ISIS are incorrect,” pointing out that, “The only thing that we drop on ISIS is rockets and bombs.”

Jones added, “We do not know about the strikes that targeted the associate members in some areas. In case someone brings evidence to confirm this topic, we will be glad to investigate it.”

The U.S. ambassador pointed out that Washington has spent more than a billion dollars in order to eliminate the ISIS organization .
