Earthquake measuring 3.8 over Richter scale hits al-Hay District in Wasit Province

(IraqiNews.com) The General Authority for Meteorological and Seismic Monitoring announced on Friday recording an earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale in the district of al-Hay in Wasit Province.
The authority said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Our Observatories for seismic monitoring recorded at 8:08:53 pm an earthquake in the area of al-Hay in Wasit Province,” indicating that “The citizens felt this tremor.”
The statement added, “There have been no human or material losses caused by the quake.”
