Iraq, Qatar press for peaceful solutions for Mideast crises

Baghdad ( – Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Ali Alhakim and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Tuesday stressed the need for reaching peaceful solutions for the crises in the Middle East region.

During a phone conversation, the two top diplomats discussed means of promoting relations between the two countries to meet aspirations of the Iraqi and Qatari peoples, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement.

They also probed the latest developments in the region and reiterated the importance of reaching joint solutions to end the Mideast crises peacefully, the statement read.

“Iraq is keen on developing bilateral cooperation in all fields,” Alhakim said, referring to the depth of relations between Baghdad and Doha at all levels.
