(IraqiNews.com) BAGHDAD- United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)’s World Heritage Committee on Sunday named several Iraqi sites of archaeological importance as World Heritage Sites.

World Heritage Committee approved to add three ancient cities and four Iraqi marshlands to the list of World Heritage Sites, after the Iraqi request was supported by different countries that included Kuwait, Lebanon, Iran, France, Kazakhstan, Finland, Indonesia, Portugal, Tunisia, Tanzania, Vietnam, Japan and Peru.
