ERBIL (BasNews) The members of the Islamic State (IS) organization also should benefit from the law of general amnesty in order to prevent the resurrection of the extremist organizations, said an MP to the Iraqi House of Representatives.

The Iraqi parliament is due to discuss and finalize the bill for the general amnesty next week.

Speaking from Erbil to the Iraqi Ghadpress website, Mithal al-Alusi said the politicians and professionals are common to sit together in order to work out a “decisive deal” over those who have collided with the terrorist organizations.

This is “to prevent the recreation of some terrorist organizations as IS,” Alusi said.

Alusi, whose two sons were killed by the extremist groups, stated “we should bravely admit that the matter is an Iraqi issue before we talk about those murderers who came from outside [Iraq].”

“The solution is to frankly discuss the manner to protect our sons against falling into the hands of these executioners [in reference to IS],” he added.

  1. Amnesty? Are you kidding me? Giving ISIS members amnesty after they have committed genocide and murdered hundreds of children and women. That is shameful to even think of amnesty for those monsters. It is a slap in the face to the Iraqi people who endured suffering and the Iraqi soldiers who proudly defended their country. Showing amnesty is a sign of weakness. It shows that this Iraqi MP is more scared of terrorists groups and has no faith in his people or country.

  2. What a shame if an enemy wants to crush u. And stand there and give them mercy! Hah! Amnesty is only a sign weakness!

  3. Amnesty can only be given to ISIS militants if they came forward and asked for forgiveness from Iraqis and all those families whom they murdered. Even so the law of the land should be followed to punish those militants for joining a terrorist group and for commiting genocide. More over they should also be prosecuted for treason…For taking over a sovereign state of Iraq by force. Forget about amnesty with people who don’t have value for God and human life

  4. Iraqi government is weak, and Shias in the country divided, as my father says. ALL Daesh members, regardless of their age or sex, should be hang immediatly. Sunnis, including the Gulf puppet kings, should also bear the main burnt of rebuilding Iraq.
