Baghdad Operations announces closing al-Alawi tunnel and Muthanna Bridge

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Wednesday, Baghdad Operations Command announced closing al-Alawi tunnel for 10 days and Muthanna bridge for two days starting tomorrow due to maintenance works.

Baghdad Operations Command said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “We will cut the traffic in Damascus tunnel in Alawi area starting tomorrow, Thursday, at six o’clock for a period of ten days.”

The statement added, “We will also close Muthanna Bridge north of Baghdad for two days, from Thursday morning till Friday (29 April 2016) at 10 pm, due to the maintenance works that will be carried out by the General Authority for Roads and Bridges.”
