Iraqis cable of solving their crises, building better future, says premier

Baghdad ( – Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said on Monday that the Iraqi people are capable of reaching solutions for their own problems and building a better future.

The premier made the remarks during his participation in a three-day forum for Iraqi inventors, Almaalomah news website quoted his media office as saying in a statement.

“The Iraqis are able to find solutions to all crises they suffer from, in addition to building a better future….We are optimistic to do so,” the premier said.

Abdul Mahdi further voiced the government’s keenness on overcoming all obstacles facing inventors, in addition to allocating prizes for them.

“Iraq should restore its position as a hub of culture, education and knowledge,” the premier stressed, adding that the crises “should be a catalyst for reform and creation of solutions.”

“Nations can make a progress and reach a breakthrough for their own crises through such inventions,” he said, giving an example of some world powers, which managed to get stronger and more powerful after they were engaged in civil wars.
