Iraq’s Diyala kills stray dogs with poisoned chickens

Diyala ( Iraqi authorities in Diyala province have killed tens of stray dogs with poisoned, local officials there were quoted saying on Friday.

Alsumaria News quoted Youssef Ibrahim, mayor of Khanqin (100 Km northeast of Baqubah) saying that the mayoral authorities managed to eradicate 160 stray dogs in three days “using imported chicken that was poisoned, cut into pieces and distributed across infected areas.

He said that a last campaign will be conducted on Sunday against the stray dogs, saying they had caused much harm to civilians and the environment.
