(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Kataib Hizbollah militia in Iraq confirmed the death of Izzat al-Douri who was the Vice President of Saddam Hussein, adding that the deceased body of al-Douri will be delivered to the government by tomorrow.

The Kataib Hizbollah said in an statement that was published today on its website and obtained by IraqiNews.com “The Intelligence Service of Kataib Hizbollah had been passing information to some of the tribes in order to facilitate the arrest of the criminal Izzat al-Douri or killing him,” noting that, “One of the clans of al-Hamrin area is that which commenced the killing of al-Douri.”

“It was confirmed that the deceased body is Izzat al-Douri, according to preliminary tests. Kataib Hizbollah will deliver the dead body to the Iraqi government by tomorrow,” the statement added.

Earlier today, Iraqi Health Minister Adila Hammoud revealed, that the government has not received the body of the former vice-president, Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri until now.
