Kurdistan Region finalizes draft of new labor law

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs within the Kurdistan Regional Government finalized for the first time in the history of the Region the law draft specialized in organizing labor affairs and presented the draft for the Council of Ministers to be presented later for the Parliament of Kurdistan for a vote.

A statement by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the Region received by IraqiNews.com Saturday The Ministry held several workshops and gathered the notes and suggestions of the international experts as well as international legal organizations in order to draft a law over labor in Kurdistan Region that includes 148 articles,” noting that “Kurdistan Region was following the Iraqi labor law before drafting this law.”
