Legal Parliamentary Committee denies dismissing Mahmoud

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliamentary Legal Committee denied reports over referring the Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council, Judge Midhat al-Mahmoud, for retirement.

The head of the committee, Mahmoud al-Hassan, stated to IraqiNews.com “The committee did not send Mahmoud for retirement or appoint Faiq Zaidan to replace him.”

He added “The legal committee is not concerned with these procedures.” /End/
