Maliki calls to overcome obstacles that hinder documenting Saddam and ISIS violations

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Vice President Nuri al-Maliki called to overcome the obstacles that hinder the process of documenting the violations of the former regime, headed by Saddam Hussein, and the ISIS organization against the Iraqi people.

Maliki’s office said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, that the latter had received in his official office the Human Rights Minister Mohammed Mahdi al-Bayati, noting that during the meeting they discussed ways to the advancement of human rights in Iraq, particularly since Iraq had plenty of resources and competencies in this respect.

Maliki underlined the importance of unifying efforts to promote human rights in the country, and called for overcoming obstacles to be able to document violations of the previous regime and the terrorist gangs of ISIS against the Iraqi people for submission to the international community.

For his part, Al-Bayati stated that the ministry had developed an integrated plan for the next four years, pointing out to the conditions experienced by the Iraqi people and the size of violations they had been exposed to.
