(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad- On Sunday, President Fuad Masum praised the relationships between Iraq and Germany, while called Berlin to support Iraq in removing the damage caused by ISIS in Mosul and the rest of the liberated areas.
Masum’s office, in a press statement, said, “Today, President Masum received German ambassador to Iraq, Eckhard Preveza to mark the end of his functions. They reviewed ties of friendship between the two countries and ways of cementing and developing it.”
Masum, according to the statement, asked Germany ‘o support Iraq’s plans to remove the political and economic damage caused by ISIS in Mosul and the rest of the liberated areas’.
For his part, the German ambassador reiterated that ‘his country’s determination to expand cooperation with Iraq in various political, economic, security and humanitarian fields,’ further stressing ‘he will continue his efforts to develop relations between the two countries’.
